Wesix Steel has a large detailing and engineering department that produces shop drawings for new construction, commercial additions and renovations, residential projects, and prototypes.  Calculations for structural member connections, stairs, and railings are certified and stamped by a PE in each of the lower 48.  Wesix Steel’s engineering department owns licenses for Tekla, SDS/2, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.

Supply

Steel bar joists, joist girders, and deck are a cost-effective solution to any construction project and have become the key components of today’s roofing systems. Wesix Steel is a steel joist and deck supplier anywhere in the lower 48. Material orders include detailing per the Steel Joist Institute (SJI) and freight to your job site.

K-Series Bar Joists
K-Series joists are designed for use typically with lighter loads and are most common in roof design. K-Series Joists are used typically where shorter span conditions are required.

KCS-Series Joists
KCS-Series Joists are a version of the K-series joists, but designed for a constant shear and moment, which allows for greater flexibility for locating extra loads such as those from rooftop units.

LH-Series
LH-Series Joists are for longer span conditions and are capable of supporting larger loads. These joists allow for special profiles to accommodate a variety of conditions. Some of the typical special profiles include gable joists and arched joists.

DLH-Series
As with LH-Series joists, DLH-Series (Deep Long span) joists are for longer span conditions and support larger loads. With standardized depths from 52” through 120” and spans up through 240 feet, DLH joists also allow for special profiles to accommodate a variety of conditions.

Whether it is roofing, flooring, or ceilings, Wesix Steel supplies a variety of steel deck profiles and depths to meet your needs.  Our steel deck is manufactured in accordance with the specifications of the Steel Deck Institute (SDI).  Metal deck is noncombustible which ensures an excellent fire rating to architects, engineers, and owners.

Roof Deck
There are a number of roof deck profiles available. Each one has its own unique design benefit. Moreover, all profiles have several finish options.

Composite Floor Deck
We supply a wide variety of composite deck that works with all applications to produce an efficient and economical structural floor solution. These decks come in a variety of finish options.

Non-Composite Floor Deck
There is a wide variety of non-composite deck options that support the concrete slab until the slab is cured. This allows for an efficient and economical structural floor solution. These decks come in a variety of finish options.

Dovetail Deck
A Dovetail Deck System uses the strength and aesthetic appeal of the dovetail shape to provide architects and structural engineers a variety of floor and deck designs. This option also allows you to achieve longer spans with shallower floor depths which is beneficial in the construction of multi-story buildings.

Cellular Deck
Cellular Decking is ideal for exposed ceiling areas where a flat bottom ceiling is desired without compromising load capabilities. By acting as both a ceiling and roof, this option combines the strength of roll formed steel with an aesthetically pleasing bottom plate. By choosing an acoustical option, the expense and trouble of suspended ceilings is eliminated.
